I bought this book for my sister for Christmas and immediately nabbed it back and polished it off in a day.  It’s a swift, uplifting read that reveals the life of Sybil Van Antwerp through her letters and emails.  Sybil, entering her twilight years, is brilliant, tough, brittle and rigid but also capable of change.  Her life expands in unexpected and delightful ways at an age when many lives narrow.
