Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan

As I am in the process of opening a bookstore, I thought it would be opportune to re-read this book published back in 2012.  Mr. Penumbra’s bookstore is far more than the sleepy, poorly visited shop it appears to be.  The store’s overnight clerk’s curiosity is peaked and soon he is off on an epic adventure involving big tech, a secret society, and, of course, the world of print and books.  A creative, intelligent and fun book touching on important contemporary themes.
